Quatama Comics at Shute Park Library

June 20, 2019 - Quatama Elementary students were proud and excited to partner with the Washington County Library Services to present student-created comic books at Shute Park Library. The after-school program is funded with grants from the Hillsboro Schools Foundation and Quatama's Coyote Community Club (also known as the CCC). It is currently for grades 3-6, but will be expanding next year. The teacher running the Comics Academy is Kindergarten teacher, Noah Simonson. Special thanks to grant donors and Philip Delgado at the Shute Park Library who not only created a beautiful space for the comics but also brought them to life by making puppets to match the characters!
